Patricia is the Founding Partner of Messrs Chung Chambers, a boutique law firm specialising into Intellectual Property. Patricia is also the President of IIPCC Malaysia (www.iipcc.org/malaysia), the exclusive chapter of IIPCC (www.iipcc.org), a global nonprofit nonpartisan NGO to service Malaysia. IIPCC is a permanent observer of WIPO (UN).
She is a qualified member of the Malaysian Bar and registered IPs Agent in Malaysia, a registered member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb-UK & Malaysia), a registered associate of Malaysia Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb), and an Accredited Mediator by Malaysian Bar Mediation Centre. While serving IT Sub-Committee of Penang Bar, she is also a member of Fintech Association of Malaysia (FAOM) and Penang Women Commerce of Chambers (PWCC). She is well-versed in both the litigation and non-litigation fronts of IP law and held a diverse portfolio as a litigation lawyer contributed a number of Reported Malaysian Cases involving IP Infringement, corporate attorney by frequently contributing Legal Written Opinions regarding compliances to reputable Financial Institutions and Corporate Companies and conveyancing practitioner throughout her 12-year legal career.
She was the Head of Legal Department cum Patent Steering Committee in a Singaporean based Multi-National Companies (Pioneer) in Semiconductor Industry in 2014. She has been invited to join an official press conference held by Ministry of Domestic Trade for a successful raiding operation led to criminal order granted by court for copyright infringement in 2015, thereafter being appointed as Legal Advisor for the Penang Karaoke Association (PKA) and successfully moved MyIPO to witness MOU signing ceremony between PKA and PRISM (copyright licensing body in Malaysia) around 2017 in a reported press conference. She was the moderator for the dialogue session among MyIPO, PKA and PRISM that day. Patricia’s shrewd leadership has guided Chung Chambers to be awarded “Best IP Law Firm in Malaysia for 2015” by APAC Insider and has auspiciously invited as Key Partner of Lawtech Malaysia in 2019.
She is a regular speaker, mentor, judge, moderator in various workshops, panel sessions, Hackhatons, seminars, Summit Conference organised or co-organised by Malaysian Bar Council, Government Authorities, Penang State Bar, WIPO ADR Singapore, MyIPO, FAOM, Vitrox Public Company, LawTech Malaysia, Universities, Law Colleges, aCAT, Accelerators including one of the well-known Seed Accelerators known as “Techstars”.
Today, as IP specialist, Patricia leverages on the advancement of technology to help clients world-wide securing IP rights through digitalised service provision by actively appearing in Legal Tech and FinTech space.
Ng Siok Lyn, Jane
Jane graduated from the University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2001 and completed her Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in 2002.
She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitors of the High Court of Malaya in year 2003.
Jane was practising in Kuala Lumpur and having vast experiences in the areas of Banking, Finance and Civil Litigation before getting married and moving to Penang. She continued practice in Penang in the areas of Dispute Resolution, advising Banks and financial institutions on debt recovery specializing in Hire-Purchase, Industrial Hire-Purchase, Forfeiture of Property and Corporate Insolvency. She has acted as Counsel and Defense Counsel for Banks, MNCs and local companies conducting Trials and Hearings at the Subordinate Courts in the Northern Region, High Court of Malaya in various States and Court of Appeal, Putrajaya. Besides debt recovery, she has also acted and successfully brought and defended actions for individual clients on a wide range of civil actions such as tort, trespass to land, fraud and misrepresentation in contract, breach of trust, Mareva Injunction, goods sold and delivered, divorce and custody of children disputes.
In 2016, she founded the firm of Messrs Lee Yuen Syakira & Ng, Advocates & Solicitors, together with 3 other partners. That firm currently exists under a sole proprietorship.
Jane joined Chung Chambers in July 2020 handling the Dispute Resolution, Estate and Family Proceedings portfolio. She is an active litigator with more than 17 years’ experience handling corporate, commercial, family and estate proceedings. She is an avid thinker and a tactical player in the Courtroom.
Jane’s practice areas include conventional drafting of tenancy, partnership and corporate agreements as well as Wills and Deeds of Family Arrangement. Occasionally, she finds time to engage in pro bono work for the under-privileged.
Daniel Lui is the Vice-President of IIPCC Malaysia. He specialises in commercialization of IP, restructuring, mergers and acquisition and venture building. Further, he is a member of Fintech Association of Malaysia (FAOM) focusing on Regtech in Malaysia. He was also the Co-Founder of Lawtech Malaysia, an ecosystem building company focused on bridging and upskilling the legal industry. He is also a Partner in Fuzztrack Ventures, a private equity firm where his portfolio is on financial tech, regulatory tech and law tech.
He was also called to the bar at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn as a Barrister-at-law at England and Wales. Previously, he was practising as a Pupil and Paralegal in Messrs Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill. Thereafter, at Deol & Gill he continue to lead a legal team in an IPO at ACE Market Malaysia and oversaw 10 over M&A transactions in subsequent organisation he joined.[/vc_co
Throughout his journey, he has organised 2 successful legal tech hackathons, 1 Lawtech summit conference and produced over 35 teams in the process with some teams obtaining investments. Building the ecosystem, he has worked with both domestic and international regulators to promote innovation and technology into the legal industry of Malaysia such as the Bar Council of Malaysia, Bar Council of Penang, Law Society of Hong Kong, Singapore Academy of Law, APAC Legal Innovation Tech Association (ALITA), Legal Hackers, Nordic Regtech Association and New Zealand Legal Tech Association. He also formed the first lawtech fellowship with now over 30 fellows from diverse backgrounds focused in transforming the legal industry with innovation and tech. Further, he has presented at the World Regtech Summit and Fintech association roundtables in Hong Kong and Singapore to align, promote and collaborate on an APAC level to grow fintech, lawtech and regtech.
Further into his other role, Daniel focuses on advising foreign tech transfers projects, commercialization of IP for patents by GL universities and structuring investment for businesses in Malaysia. He also serves as a member of the Youth Task Force Steering Committee under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Malaysia.

Ong have been working for the last 18 years. Started as Virtual Business Manager (Inside Sales) but promoted to Territory Business Manager within 3 months and a year later became Malaysia Territory Large Market Account Manager. 2 years later promoted to Senior Territory Large Account Manager (equivalent to Sales Manager). Ong was a Trainer as well at my younger age, a Retail Financial Planner & Senior Consultant with Prudential Assurance (M) Bhd and joined Motorola Inc as Software Engineer and later moved to ixmation (Asia) Sdn. Bhd. as a System Control Engineer & Project Coordinator in automation environment (OT).

The last 8 years ago, Ong moved into IT field starting as a Presales and later on moved to Cisco as Inside sales and got promoted to Field Sales within 3 months and covers the channel space and also directly with end user too. Ong have wide experience in engineering side from software to hardware. Adding on to it as well, Ong have wide experience in the field of sales and marketing management, project management and financial management.
